Energy Saving

Unlike back in Lion City and hometown, energy is a commercial item in Koala Land. There are a few companies like AGL and Origin competing to offer the best energy deal. I don't know which company our house subscribe but they have this cool initiative to promote energy saving. They offer to replace all the fluorescent bulbs with energy saving bulbs (which cost more), install some motion tracking device on your TV that switches it off automatically after x hour of inactivity and replace your shower head with water saving shower heads all for free. So me being the most idle person in the household gets to meet the electrician that is suppose to check our house.

 

One night prior, my uncle proactively took down the light bulbs (around 7) so Mr. Electrician (E) can just replace for us. When Mr. E came, I proudly showed him all our light bulds and reassured him we have taken them down on his behalf and he just need to provide us the replacements.

 

 

But being a responsible employee, he wanted to see for himself and I gave him a guided bulb tour around the house. Guess what? Turns out there are 20 over bulbs that we missed out. Hahaha...!

Altogether there were 37 light bulbs and 1 shower head changed. I had to answer an phone survey and we will be getting an energy saving certificate. But I think my uncle would prefer some discount off our energy bills.
